I Walk, Therefore I am

I join with the group as we gather to stride,

To catch up, to wander, with friends at my side.

The weeks have gone by, and the winter winds blow,

But bonds have formed between frost and cool winds.

I’m one with the people, the paths, and the chill,

As we chart out our course over valleys and hills.

We wander over here and we wander right there,

Stepping out in the morning without much of a care.

The chat starts with pleasantries, light as the breeze,

Then deepens to wisdom beneath the street’s trees.

Exploring the ‘whats’ and the ‘hows’ of our days,

In amicable, thoughtful, and comforting ways.

So if you are looking to move and have a chat,

To stretch out your legs and get active at that,

Come lace up your shoes and step into the air,

Check the weather and meet us here.

We’ll finish off with a cuppa or three,

Then a magical ending, and some sweet poetry.
